One of the most significant health interventions by Jyotiraditya and his team is the Lifeline Express, the world’s first ever hospital on a train. Enabled as a joint effort between Impact India Foundation (a prominent NGO) and the Indian Railways, it has served over 7,00,000 economically underprivileged patients in rural India. The hospital is fitted with state-of-the-art medical facilities and equipment to cater to its rural patients’ needs, whether it is eyesight, hearing, and mobility restoration, cleft lip correction, or dental and neurological treatment.

The Lifeline Express is an annual feature and treats 20,000 patients on an OPD basis and operates on almost 1,000 patients free of cost. This initiative is a striking example of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, in which corporates fund patients on a need-basis and collaborate resources for maximum impact.
