As education is one of Jyotiraditya’s key focus areas, he has worked diligently to ensure that there are adequate facilities for the children of Guna to get quality education. To this end, he has ensured the setting up of Bajrangarh Navodaya Vidyalaya and the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Mungaoli. He has also helped set up hostels for girls and boys in Ashoknagar. Due to his efforts, another Kendriya Vidyalaya in Chanderi has been proposed.

Beyond improving the infrastructure and providing basic amenities and requisites in the constituency, Jyotiraditya is passionate about alleviating the more entrenched social problems through innovative projects. The root of this issue lies in a discord in the current education system, between the demand for jobs and the skills gained from the education system.

Thus, Jyotiraditya’s focus has been to develop channels that allow today’s generation to equip themselves better and prepare themselves for post-graduation employment.

A holistic developmental approach across the social and infrastructure sectors is his key to skilling today’s youth.

In July 2010, he set up the Vocational Training Centre in Guna, which is a joint venture between IL&FS Transportation Networks Limited (ITNL) and GAIL. Its primary purpose has been to equip young adults with the skills required to connect them with the mainstream job market.

Many students who joined the Centre have progressed to employment in prominent multinational companies like Whirlpool, Electrolux, and Dominos.

The Vocational Training Centre is not the only skill-enhancing initiative launched by Jyotiraditya Scindia. It is joined by the establishment of the first Engineering College of NTPC (investment of Rs. 120 Crore) and a Medical College in Shivpuri (investment of Rs. 185 Crore) , a training centre of the National Power Training Institute (investment of Rs. 70 Crore), a Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), which is one of the seven FDDIs in the country with an investment of Rs. 110 Crore, and a Rs. 50 Crore Spice Park.

Jyotiraditya’s approach to these projects have consistently adopted international best practices in order to transform the region on par with global standards.
